FITZCARDBOARDALDO

I could write all kinds of non-essential hyperbole for this, but what more needs to be said than: FITZCARRALDO IN CARDBOARD!

Herzog’s sorrid tale of jungle opera rendered in brown, corregated refuse.  Just beautiful, especially the Victrola and the motion of the water.  Make sure to watch the making-of too (ala Burden of Dreams).

This masterwork was created by Robin Frohardt, who makes “sets, puppets and contraptions.”  She is also a founding member of the fantastic-sounding Apocalypse Puppet Theater.

Of course, it goes without saying if you haven’t seen the original, remedy that immediately.
