Read Every Issue of Omni Magazine for Free

During its nearly 20-year lifespan, Omni magazine was the gold standard for science fiction literature. The publication featured works from many of modern sci-fi’s greats, including: William Gibson, Stephen King, Harlan Ellison, and Joyce Carol Oates. It even drew H. R. Giger’s work into the public consciousness; so you can kinda-sorta thank Omni for the Alien franchise.

Alas, all good things must come to an end. Omni stopped being printed in ’95 and puttered along in digital form until ’97. When the digital version shuttered, fans were suddenly left without an Omni fix.

Fortunately, the entire run of the magazine is now available free of charge on Archive.org. I’ll admit that this is old news to some, but it’s brand new to me. Let’s start downloading. We’ve got some reading to do!

  1. SO COOL. Old sci-fi mags can be treasure troves of fantastic content. Nice to see that one of them is now public domain…
