League of Legends NA Qualifiers are today!

League of Legends is wrapping up its second season with a bang — but before it can begin the world-wide championship, the North American qualifiers have to take their place. This weekend at PAX Prime, the big NA tournament will decide who moves onto the final round for a chance at a $2 million prize. This is going to be one of the biggest prize pools in all of eSports and will mean a great deal to competitive gaming in the future. For now though, the competition is focused on the next couple of days where eight teams will duke it out to determine which three teams are going to represent North America in the world-wide competition.

At PAX Prime (or on Riot’s Stream) you can expect to watch:

  1. Team Solo Mid
  2. Counter Logic Gaming
  3. Team Dignitas
  4. TSM.evo
  5. Team Curse
  6. Team Dynamic
  7. Team Legion
  8. Monomaniac Ferrus

I’m personally rooting for CLG Prime, but there are a lot of extremely talented competitors here. Regardless of who wins, this is going to be a tough event to pull ahead in. Everyone is going to have to bring their best game. One thing is for sure, this event will definitely be something interesting to see.

The first round is Team Curse against Team Evo on August 30th (today) at 11AM Pacific Standard Time – followed by Team Solo Mid versus Monomaniac Ferrus at 2PM Pacific.
