0Experience the wonder of sound from Tuva
For a long while now I’ve been wowing party crowds with my “didgeridoo” impression. What I’ve been trying to do, though, is the mysterious and fantastic Tuvan throat singing. Tuva is a region of Russia bordering Mongolia, mountainous and covered by steppe. The people there connect all natural things with the spirit and hold a special affection for the sounds things make. It is said that the sound of a waterfall was the source of the singing and its use of overtones. These singers are able to make chords and tones with their voices that I could only dream of.
