Mystery Science Theater 3000 Retakes Thanksgiving
Football be damned, everybody back onboard the Satellite of Love! Joel Hodgson, the creator of Mystery Science Theater 3000, is celebrating the show’s 25th anniversary by bringing back the once-traditional Thanksgiving marathon. Your Turkey Day celebration won’t lack cheesy movies and sarcastic robots anymore.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Joel will be hosting six fan-selected episodes, back-to-back. Throughout the day, he’ll reminisce about the series and test fans with challenging trivia.
You can watch the full marathon via MST3KTurkeyDay.com, starting at 12pm ET on Thanksgiving Day. Joel is taking episode suggestions from fans right now on Twitter. We can only pick six from the full 198-episode run of the series, so this is a tough choice. I’m going with:
- Manos: The Hands of Fate

- Final Justice

- Merlin’s Shop of Mystical Wonders

He flies like a moron.
Get in on this people. MST3K was the finest television program that’s ever been produced. If you can sneak away from your relatives to watch this, I highly recommend it.
