Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Gets a Release Date
Take what you know about Far Cry and hose it down with laser pistols and neon lights. Ubisoft confirmed that Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is coming to XBLA, PSN and PC on May 1st. This standalone game leaves behind the tropical setting of Far Cry 3, and blasts off into the far-flung future of 2007.
This isn’t just a simple DLC add-on. Blood Dragon has nothing to do with the story of vanilla Far Cry 3. It’s a nostalgia-soaked love letter to 80’s action films and cyberpunk literature. The player takes control of Rex Power Colt, a cybernetic soldier voiced by Aliens and Terminator star, Michael Biehn. Rex is on a one-man quest to take down Omega Force, a rogue army of cyborgs. This is the video game I was born to play.
If the Steam pre-order page is any indication—and it usually is—Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon should retail for $14.99.
