0Ruby Sparks looks adorable and I hope it scares all the happy people.
Ruby Sparks looks like an uber cutesy, family friendly, happy go-lucky, spoon-fed good time. But as a fan of the directors previous movies (500 Days of Summer & Little Mrs.Sunshine) I know this couldn’t be entirely true.
Oddly enough what got me most excited for this movie was a youtube comment.
“I went to an advanced screening of Ruby Sparks yesterday and I want to offer a warning: If you’re going expecting a bubbly, quirky love story you’ll kind of get that for a little, but the movie gets pretty dark and a little unsettling at times. My boyfriend and I left feeling uncomfortable and kind of weird. This isn’t a feel-good movie as suggested by the trailer.” – SRK191811
YEEESSS! MOOOHOOOHAHAHAHA!
I knew it couldn’t be all bubblegum and rainbows like the trailer and cheezy promo site suggest. I say bring on the bone crushing, awkard moments of heart-ache, because that’s what made the previous titles so special.
So with that said please do enjoy this sappy happy trailer for one of my most anticipated films
Also; bonus points for Alia Shawkat @1:42 in this featurette.
