New Moon Discovered Orbiting Pluto

The Hubble Space Telescope was set to observe Pluto earlier this month and, in true Hubble fashion, did not disappoint.

On July 7, 2012, astronomers discovered another new object orbiting the disgraced former-planet. Albeit not the most impressive astronomical object, S/134340 measures approximately 25 miles wide and fills an orbital shift formerly thought to be empty. This is the fourth moon of Pluto discovered using Hubble observations. In 2006, the Hubble found P2 and P3, later named Nix and Hydra, so I fully expect P4 and P5 to be named Turbo and Blaze any day now.
