1Bioshock Infinite – Getting More Than You Paid For
If you were to login to Steam right now and pre-order Bioshock Infinite, Steam would give you Bioshock and XCOM: Enemy Unknown for free. They’d also give you a bunch of Team Fortress 2 items, if you’re into that kind of thing. To me, that sounds like a really great bargain. Bioshock Infinite is looking to be a pretty solid game, Bioshock is one of those “seriously, why haven’t you played this yet” games, and XCOM has proven to be sincerely great. Or, at least pretty damn good. So why shouldn’t you pre-order Bioshock Infinite on Steam?
I hadn’t heard of Green Man Gaming before today and they’ve made sure I’ll never forget who they are. If you were to pre-order Bioshock Infinite on GMG you’ll not only get what you paid for, you’ll also receive Bioshock and XCOM: Enemy Unknown, just as you would on Steam. In addition to those two games, you’d also get a free game of your choice. Well, “of your choice” is a bit more free than what they’re suggesting. As long as your choice includes Spec Ops: the Line, Civilization V, Bioshock 2, The Darkness 2, or Mafia 2, you’ll be fine. Still, as specific as these choices are, that’s a pretty good lineup. What’s equally impressive is that they’ll throw in a $15 credit towards anything at GMG. If this doesn’t bring in sales, I don’t know what will.
For those of you looking to pre-order Bioshock Infinite, your choices lie before you. You can either get it on Steam and receive a handful of games, or you can buy it on GMG, get those same games, and a little bit more. To me, the choice is pretty clear. Bioshock Infinite releases March 26, 2013 on PC, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3.
