0The Bad Apples Are Oh So Tempting!
In the early months of 2012, a few unique artists met each other in a chatroom of an art auction website. Disappointed with how quickly the website seemed to be losing buyers, they decided to take the future of their business into their own hands. In April, they created the Bad Apple Artist Collective. Comprised originally of seven artists, each with their own unique styles, they began to promote themselves worldwide.
Using facebook to spread word of their collective, they quickly gained a following. Before long, other artists were asking to join the Bad Apples. The collective grew, adding fresh, new artists whose work fit well alongside those of the original members.
The Bad Apples keep their fans entertained by hosting a monthly theme auction, in which each member creates a new, original work of art inspired by a theme chosen for that month. The fans can then bid on these original works, which all start at only $50.
With plans for a Bad Apple Gallery Show in 2013, the future looks bright for this international artist collective. Follow them on Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr to keep up to date with their auctions, shows, and other news.
