They’re making a Temple Run movie…
First an Angry Birds movie, now Temple Run. And they say creativity is dead.
Warner Bros. is developing a film based on the hit mobile game. In fairness, Temple Run is a pretty open-ended property. As far as I can tell, that game’s entire plot is about an Indiana Jones lookalike who steals an idol, and is then chased to his death by demon-monkeys. That’s the full story. He doesn’t get away in the end. There is no escape from the Devil Apes. See?
They could go anywhere with that story. Hell, imagine if they slapped a dark “everybody dies” ending on this thing? That would be incredible.
Besides, it’s better than yet another superhero movie…
